The term Sacraments refers to the sacred signs that mark stages of the Catholic faith journey.

How to Belong
How does one become a member at St Michael's?

We say - just come to Mass. Check us out. Does the way we do things say something to you?

If, after a few visits, you want to be part of our Parish, make yourself known to the priest after Mass, and he or one of the ushers will give you a Welcome leaflet. Fill it in and post it back to the Parish Office, or bring it with you next time you come to Mass. You will then be put on the Parish Roll. Someone will visit and bring you a Parish Pack, containing all manner of information about St Michael's.

Maybe you are not a Catholic! Well you can still come to Mass, but normally would not receive Holy Communion. We see receiving Holy Communion as a sign you are in full communion with the Catholic Church.

If you keep coming to Mass, you might find yourself saying; "I must find out more about the Catholic Church." Contact Monsignor Brian Arahill or Sister Francis Kelly or any other member of the Parish Council and they will tell you about the Adults Becoming Catholic programme.

Maybe you are RC - not Roman Catholic but Retired Catholic. You can always come out of retirement. Maybe you have been thinking of coming out of retirement and are not sure how to go about it. You would be most welcome to contact Monsignor Brian and find out how easy it would be to fully belong once more.

Some parents reading this may ask; "How do I arrange to have my children baptised?" Check out the Baptism page.

"How do I ask about my child/children receiving Confirmation and Holy Communion?" The Becoming Church link will give you some of the information you need.

Sometimes, for any number of reasons there are older children in the family who have not been baptised, confirmed or made their First Holy Communion. Contact Monsignor Brian or Sister Francis to find out about the "catch up" programmes that are held in the Parish as required.
